Farewell Rabbi Bogosian
On Friday, June 17, 2015 our Erev Shabbat service featured a special presentation to our departing interim Rabbi, Ilene Bogosian. For the past year, Rabbi Bogosian has lead us through the challenge of transitioning from our founding rabbi to our new future. With her experience, her wisdom and her compassion, Rabbi Bogosian has helped us to overcome our anxieties and to reflect on all those things that we value most about our sacred community. With her foresight and her perceptiveness she pointed us towards the path to our future. With her graciousness, her humour and her love of teaching Torah, Rabbi Bogosian has been the hand that guided us as we prepared to take the next great step in the life of our congregation.
Congregational president, Joel Brown, thanked Rabbi Bogosian for her service to Solel and presented her with a hand-made, one of a kind yad created by Canadian glass artist Aimee Promislow as a memento of her time with us at Solel.
After the service, a very special celebratory Oneg Shabbat was enjoyed by all who came to see Rabbi Bogosian on her way to her next adventure in Dayton Ohio.
