The Facilitator – Jeff Wilkinson
Jeff’s work is about bringing people together. He has a Masters and a Doctorate in Education, in
the field of social psychology. His academic research focuses on trauma and memory and how
these affect the Israel-Palestine debate in the West. He has been an equity officer for a large
metropolitan school board and has been facilitating challenging conversations for over 25 years.
As a Jew, he continues his journey of dealing with his own family trauma in the Holocaust, while
working to understand what Judaism has to say about how we live with our neighbor and how
we can create a more just world for all. Jeff is also a musician and music educator, and he uses
his artistic lens to find creative solutions to difficult problems.

Building bridges: Hineini: Answering the Call to Heal the World

On Sunday, February 5, 2023 at 2PM EST, Morton Weinfeld, Professor of Sociology at McGill University will speak on the topic of Like Everyone Else But Different: The Jewish Glass is Half Full. Weinfeld is the award-winning author of the recently updated book, Like Everyone Else But Different: The Paradoxical Success of Canadian Jews. Historian Harold Troper has called his book “undoubtedly, the most important study of Canadian Jewish life in a generation.’ He will speak about how Canadian Jews have overcome the risks of assimilation and diversity amid new challenges in the Jewish community.
